Translate Research to Action at the MRA/Macomb Research Conference

2/21/2002 -CIERA researchers will present their most recent findings at "LEAP from Research to Action," a one-day conference on Friday, March 15, 2002. The meeting, which will take place from 8 AM to 5 PM at Cobo Hall, Detroit, immediately precedes the 46th Annual MRA Ambassadors for Literacy conference. "LEAP from Research to Action" will provide audiences with the opportunity to hear about new literacy research and practices from the researchers themselves. Expert advice will help you learn to use data analysis to improve the instructional conditions in your school. CIERA researchers including P. David Pearson, Barbara Taylor, and Deanna Birdyshaw will offer their perspectives and answer your questions about research-based instructional strategies.

This conference is designed for administrators and educators from the primary through undergraduate levels. The registration fee of $125 includes a variety of publications and CD-ROMs, as well as breakfast, lunch, and an evening reception.

"LEAP from Research to Action" is presented by MRA and the Tri-County Literacy Centers in Michigan.
