Using Every Child a Reader in Professional Development

Inservice

Use the topics separately over the course of a school year for inservice teachers, with each session focusing on a particular aspect of fostering reading success. The topics are an excellent starting point for group discussion.

New teachers

Every Child a Reader is particularly useful to new teachers, giving them access to current research in clear, concise language and practical activities to implement in their classrooms.

Preservice

As part of a teacher education class syllabus, Every Child a Reader affords preservice teachers the opportunity to examine a range of research, plus examples of what really works in the classroom.
